OIL

Oil systems unlike natural gas require an oil tank to store the fuel. Putting in this type of system can have more costs involved however with the Scottish Borders being such a rural area and our engineers being specialists in oil we like to offer the best advice on these heating systems.

Oil is a more efficient fuel than gas, so you tend get a good return on every unit of energy. But, like gas, the price of oil can fluctuate so sometimes it will be more cost effective.

Many boiler types require very little maintenance. Like any other boiler they should be serviced by a qualified service engineer. They generally require less maintenance than standard boilers and more general inspection. A visual inspection of the boiler and fuel feed system to check lubrication of bearings and to empty the ashbin will be required usually on at least a weekly basis.

The government is very committed to reducing greenhouse emissions and the negative effects of climate changes, so products such as this are becoming ever more popular in combatting climate issues.

Maintenance is very low for these system but there is some that householders can do themselves. It includes keeping the outdoor unit clean and free of debris. Other than this it is important to have your system serviced once a year.

Our engineers are highly trained in installing these systems and provide you with all the information you need. The heat pump can be connected to your existing radiators, underfloor heating, water tank etc. We check all of the systems compatibility during the survey process.
